2023City Camouflage Amsterdam Light Festival Amsterdam, Nederland De stenen kademuur, het spiegelende water in de gracht, zonlicht dat weerkaatst in een raampartij. Marleen Sleeuwits ziet schoonheid in deze alledaagse elementen in het straatbeeld – hun texturen, kleuren en vormen zijn de ‘huid’ van onze bebouwde omgeving. De foto’s die Sleeuwits bij daglicht op straat maakte, verschijnen nu als monumentale beelden in de nacht. Ze zijn een extra laag over onze realiteit, een surrealistische glitch die je met andere ogen laat kijken naar de stad. Pel die laag een stukje af en er verschijnt een mysterieuze oranje ondergrond. 2022Koninklijke Ontmoetingen Escher in het Paleis Den Haag, Nederland Dit najaar vindt er in Escher in Het Paleis een koninklijke ontmoeting plaats. Tien Haagse kunstenaars gaan in de tentoonstelling Koninklijke ontmoetingen een gesprek aan tussen traditie en experiment, tussen verleden en heden. Escher in Het Paleis heeft de kunstenaars uitgenodigd om nieuw grafisch werk te maken, met als inspiratiebron Paleis Lange Voorhout en zijn voornaamste bewoner, Koningin-Moeder Emma.
