this work follows the stages of a blooming rose. Its initial form is the one of cyber and each position depicts the cyber part (the armour) revealing the final stage of a flower in bloom.

How to grow thick skin was the title of my graduation project and this is one of the works that was shown. Description: "Sometimes time feels like it's slipping through my fingers, from under my feet. I am racing with time, but time is faster. Will I lose it or will I get to the next level? I can hold on tight and flex my muscles. Arrows from another world might still hit me. I want to feel safe with myself so I had to grow my own armour. Mold only grows in moist areas and I am spoiled from within. But sometimes you fall and all you can do is just get up and start walking."

The work shows an ongoing war, with no beginning and no end, therefore, no loser or winner. I found inspiration for this one in the old war tapestries such as the widely acknowledged The Bayeux Tapestry.

Fairytale Consciousness was made just before everything and everyone went into lockdown. At that point I was in my third year and I was really struggling to find my own working rhythm. I was often told that my work is confusing and no matter how hard I tried to explain my practice, it seemed impossible to fit my thinking into a linear story and arrange my thoughts in such a way that it would be accessible for the others too. As trivial as it may sound, this was something I struggled for long and it took me awhile to be able to accept and position myself right in the middle of that confusion. This work was a turning point for me, because it was the first time people told me that the work 'is too confusing' and 'too overwhelming', but this time I knew exactly what my work needed to be. photo courtesy of Jecza Gallery
