"Exploring the theme of identity is essential to me when I look at the world. The way we present ourselves to other people is solely connected to the way we dress, in my opinion that is very political and engaging. The subject of the research is important because I want us to move towards a boundless society as we are questioning the gender roles and becoming more accepting of others individuality. My work is always influenced by people, humans have always fascinated me.In my work I reject the traditional blue-print of the fashion world and try to present the alternative in a positive way. I want to set an example because I love to work with the body, for me that's something very enriching. When you make something with textiles and you can see it come to life inside something. It moves and it can bring such a spirit. I am passionate about experimenting with different materials and new techniques, I can easily get lost in a world of making endless fabrics and experimentations. My dream is to live in a queer utopia and I try to present that ideal as a revolutionary practice. It has been a running theme throughout all my projects. I want to create the ability to arouse the desire for a better life by stimulating the imagination of the viewer. I do that by creating installations to present my clothing around. I like to curate the whole scene, it becomes like building a theater set.I am an active member in the LGBTQ+ community and the Ballroom community, that was created in the 80s. Walking balls is a very political and exhilarating experience. It marries dance, gender performance, fashion, music, politics, gender representation, acting. I am a member of the House of Comme Des Garcons. Utopia is a really important concept to me as it provides an aesthetic form through which artists can engage effectively with politics and potential subject matter. That is also why collaboration is so important to me as working with different people gives a whole other perspective".

2016 A Bad End Story - Berlin one tufted carpet and 4 knitted suits were worn in collaboration with Marijn Ottenhof's performance 'clown army' A small group of dancers takes turns in clowning around with the audience, following and imitating them using krump dance moves. Breaking with the idea of charming and seductive female dancing, krump dancing is a way to voice frustrations and anger without physically harming anyone, by punching the air, stamping the floor and grimacing. It shows parallels to ritual dances to drive out evil forces such as the meditterenean tarantella and african healing trance-like dance ceremonies. GROEP
