Ohad Ben Shimon is an Inter-Disciplinary artist based in The Hague, The Netherlands. He holds a Bachelors in Psychology & Cognitive Sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel and a Bachelors in Photography from The Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, The Netherlands. His practice, for which he coined the neologism Informance Art, explores the inter-section between Photography, Writing & Performance. He has been awarded several grants (Can Serrat Writers Support Stipend, Stroom Den Haag Research & Art Project Grants, Fonds BKVB Pilot Project) and has been Artist In Residence at Can Serrat Artist Residency, Spain and Obras Artist Residency, Portugal, amongst others. He contributes regularly to various on-line and printed publications such as Circa, Very Small Kitchen, PhotoQ, Rong-Wrong and Mifgash. Ohad Ben Shimon is een inter-disciplinair kunstenaar. Hij is afgestudeerd aan zowel een wetenschappelijk opleiding (BA Cognitive Science aan de Hebreeuwse Universiteit in Jerusalem) en een artistieke opleiding (BA fotografie aan de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in Den Haag, Nederland). Zijn werk onderzoekt de kruising tussen Fotografie, Schrijven en Performance, als ook de convergentie van Art, Science & Technology.
