Omschrijving werk
Ineke van der Wal: " Mijn werkzaamheden komen tot uitdrukking in het maken van schilderijen in olie op doek-groot (200 x 150 cm.), klein formaat en tekeningen-potlood/houtskool op papier van groot tot minuscuul. Centraal staat nog steeds het gefragmenteerde, opgebroken menselijk lichaam, dat wordt onderzocht in diverse fysieke en culturele manifestaties in een gefixeerde enscenering van directe toepassing van beelden. De belichaming en het werkproces van het onderwerp zijn van evenwijdig belang: de actualiteit van het onderwerp wordt ingevult vanuit een autobiografische invalshoek met een directe persoonlijke aanspreekbaarheid".
